This Season...

 Christmas 2018...

We performed our Christmas concert on 3 December in Capel Memorial Hall at 7.30.The Hall was full and as tickets included the traditional accompaniments of mulled wine and mince pies, a good time was had by all. The audience participated in some of the well known carols and were also able to enjoy hearing the choir sing some well known Christmas pieces and some rather be less well known...

and...

on 9 December, the Choir performed its annual Carols and Cakes in Capel Church at 2pm. There was no charge, but tea and cakes were on sale and a there was be a raffle which helped raise funds for the Society, all of which helped ensure a convivial afternoon for all those who came. 

Summer Concert 2019

Our summer concert this year as held on Saturday, 29 June in Capel Village Hall. The light informal programme was followed by a supper for the sell out crowd in the Village Memorial Hall afterwards with the by now expected array of delicious and excellent value food, with lots of friends. 

Leith Hill Musical Festival 2019

This year's Leith hill Musical Festival will take place from Thursday, 11 April to Saturday 13 April 2019. Capel will be performing on Thursday, 11 April with competitions between choirs in the morning, a joint rehearsal in the afternoon and the main event, a concert in the evening comprising a chorus of all the choirs in its division, that is Capel, Epsom, Oxshott and Shalford together with full symphony orchestra and conducted by the Festival conductor, Jonathan Willcocks. The main pieces are: Hummel's Mass in Bb and William Godfree's Requiem
